Simon runs international operations for the Silicon Valley VC backed start-up, OpenGov, currently the fastest growing Govtech company in the world. OpenGov provides budgeting, tracking and transparency cloud-based software to nearly 1500 government entities.
Prior to joining OpenGov, Simon was European Director of Change.org, the citizen petitioning platform. He has also run two voluntary sector organisations, Motability which provides mobility solutions for disabled people and the Young Foundation which works on city based social innovation projects to tackle inequality.
Simon started his career working for the UK Government, on social security policy, financial crime, disability and technology. For many years he ran the global public sector innovation group at Cisco Systems.
He studied Politics, Philosophy & Economics at Balliol College, Oxford and has four children, a dog (Yoshi) and a cat (Rama)
